Samsung has officially launched 8-inch tablet – Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet t<\/strong>o join its Note series line up of products. The Note 8.0 fills the gap between Galaxy Note II, a 5.5-inch phone, and the Galaxy Note 10.1, a full-size tablet.<\/p>\n

Galaxy Note 8.0 will compete with Apple’s iPad Mini<\/a> which was launched in November. The new tablet is slightly bigger than iPad Mini and has phone call capability. The device also comes with a stylus S- Pen so users can write on the screen.<\/p>\n

The new tablet has a resolution of 1280\u00d7800 pixels which comes to 189 pixels per inch (ppi) since it is an eight-inch device. The Galaxy Note 8.0 packs a quad-core 1.6 GHz mobile processor and runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with 2GB RAM. It will have a 4,600mAh Li-ion battery which gives a decent backup.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
