The Playstation 4<\/a>is now an official thing. It officially exists. But, we still don’t know what the PS4 looks like. And so far it looks pretty awesome. Here’s what you need to know.<\/p>\n

Playstation 4 release date<\/h2>\n

Sony revealed at the launch that Playstation 4 release date is slated for ‘Holiday 2013’.However it\u2019s unclear which territories it applies to. Most probably Playstation 4 will be coming out in the US in time for Christmas 2013 and almost certainly Japan as well. It is also reported that U.K. and Europe may have to wait a little longer, maybe even until early 2014. Since India comes under Playstation Europe, we can expect the new console here as soon as it is launched in Europe.<\/p>\n

Playstation 4 specs<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s been seven years since the release of Sony’s last console – Playstation 3 and the new console the PlayStation 4 has superior hardware to improve the player experience.
\nIt is powered by an eight-core X86 AMD Jaguar CPU and has a 1.84-teraflop AMD Radeon graphics engine (with “18 compute units”) with features 8GB of GDDR5 memory. It also features a Blu-ray drive, Three USB 3.0 ports. Other means of connectivity includes 802.11 b\/g\/n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, HDMI, Bluetooth 2.1, optical audio and analog AV out. There is also Hard-drive storage (not SSD) but the included capacity in the box hasn’t been specified.<\/p>\n

Sony also introduced a new DualShock 4 gaming controller and a new Playstation Eye camera for move games. The PlayStation 4 will be able to playback 4K\/Ultra HD video. However, it will not upscale to 4K or play games at 4K resolution.<\/p>\n

Playstation 4 price in India is yet to be revealed. Rumors suggest a price tag around $500 which is Rs 30,000.But its pure speculation at the moment.<\/p>\n

A number of games have been revealed for the PS4. Deep Down, Diablo III, Destiny, Infamous: Second Son, Knack, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Watch Dogs, Final Fantasy etc.<\/p>\n
