The main idea behind the Bangalore city police\u2019s arrival on Facebook is to educate city residents about various types of crime that take place in the city, along with precautions on how not to fall prey to criminals. To cite an example, Police has posted some safety tips for women on how to deal with an attacker. The page is flooded with queries and requests from peoples. In one case, a Bangalorean posted a picture of two eve teasers who started eve teasing his two female friends and asks Bangalore police to take action against them. In another case, a city dweller posted a picture of a Policeman riding a motorcycle without a helmet and the City police immediately responded to the post saying necessary action will be taken.<\/p>\n<h3>Traffic Updates through Facebook page!<\/h3>\n<p>The Bangalore Traffic police already had a separate Facebook page for dealing with traffic related queries. The page offers traffic updates and other information from the Bangalore Traffic Police, in addition to acting as a platform for citizens to report violations and post queries. Hyderabad Traffic Police recently joined social media and Delhi Traffic Police has been present on Facebook and Twitter for quite a while.
