{"id":9011,"date":"2013-03-22T13:10:29","date_gmt":"2013-03-22T07:40:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=9011"},"modified":"2013-03-24T09:58:55","modified_gmt":"2013-03-24T04:28:55","slug":"technocity-the-future-belongs-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/technocity-the-future-belongs-here\/","title":{"rendered":"TechnoCity &#8211; The future belongs here?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Taking encouragement from the success story of Technopark Trivandrum, Government of Kerala established many IT parks across the state notable among them being Infopark at Kochi and Cyber Park at Calicut.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a flying start with Technopark, Kerala failed to gather momentum as an IT hub and is still lagging far behind Bangalore and Hyderabad.\u00a0 Against this backdrop, the idea of Technocity was mooted by Kerala government for accelerating the IT growth in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years Technopark Trivandrum got bigger and with commissioning of the <a title=\"Technopark Phase 3 nearing completion\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/technopark-phase-3-nearing-completion\/\" target=\"_blank\">Phase 3 building<\/a>, Technopark will become the largest IT Park in India. Technocity is being developed as the Phase IV expansion of Technopark and will become a self-sustained IT Township project located just five kilometres away from the Technopark. It spreads over an area of 431 acres of land on both sides of NH-47 from Pallipuram to Mangalapuram.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/jobs.entecity.com\" target=\"_blank\">Looking for Jobs in Technopark?<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technocity will consist of world class Infrastructure facilities for IT\/ITES Industry, residential blocks, educational institutions, banking facilities, hotels and restaurants, health care facilities, recreation centres, entertainment facilities, shopping mall etc.\u00a0 Along with IT, there will be emphasis on nanotechnology, biotechnology, research and development centres and high-end manufacturing.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Accessibility and Support facilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9073\" title=\"Technocity-map\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/03\/technocity-map-699x451.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"509\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/03\/technocity-map-699x451.jpg 699w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/03\/technocity-map.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 509px) 100vw, 509px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Major advantage of Technocity is that it is close to National Highway 47 and is only 14 Kilometres from Trivandrum International Airport. Being a self contained township, Technocity will have a 220 KV, 100 MVA dedicated internal power substation and distribution system. Water supply is ensured from a dedicated treatment plant while there will be a sewage treatment plant solely for the benefit of Technocity. This ensures that there will be no strain on the resources and infrastructure of <a href=\"http:\/\/entecity.com\" target=\"_blank\">Trivandrum City<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>IT Space<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Technocity will have up to 20Million SF of built up space spread over many buildings. Nine Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are planned for Technocity. Drawing inspiration from the first SEZ project in the Technopark, the second SEZ campus of Infosys will be coming up in 50acres in Technocity. <a href=\"http:\/\/listing.entecity.com\/business\/suntec-business-solutions-technopark-trivandrum\" target=\"_blank\">SunTec Business Solutions<\/a> has been given 10 acres of land for their campus.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Some of the takers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Technocity will be home to many important educational and research institutes. Already, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IITM) and the Asian School of Business (ASB) have started functioning here.<\/p>\n<p>The premier software company in India<a href=\"http:\/\/listing.entecity.com\/business\/tata-consultancy-services-ltd-tcs-technopark-trivandrum\" target=\"_blank\"> Tata consultancy services<\/a>(TCS) will be setting up their Global Learning Academy, <strong>World\u2019s largest training academy of its kind at an investment of Rs 3500 crore<\/strong>. TCS campus has a staggering built-up area of 8 Million SF spread over 97 acres and it will cater to 16,000 global trainees per batch. Once completed, the TCS campus promises to be a one of a kind landmark in Trivandrum.<\/p>\n<p>When Technocity become fully fledged, it will create 1 Lakh job opportunities in various sectors.
