Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development Shashi Tharoor will host an online video quiz show for promoting Kerala tourism.<\/p>\n
The quiz show hosted by Shashi Tharoor from Trivandrum will kick-off early May and go on for two months, a release from Tourism Department said.<\/p>\n
“We are delighted to present Tharoor as the quiz master of our first online video quiz show,” said Kerala Tourism Minister A.P. Anil Kumar.<\/p>\n
One can easily join the quiz show from anywhere in the world while the quizmaster shoots questions on God’s Own Country’s geography, nature and culture.<\/p>\n
To take part in the online quiz show, participants need to register themselves on the Kerala Tourism website<\/a> which is the virtual platform for the quiz show. Tharoor will ask one question every day for 60 days on subjects related to Kerala’s geography and culture. Participants will get 24 hours to answer the questions online. The winners will get a bonanza of gifts from the Kerala Tourism. There will be daily, weekly and monthly gifts during the show. \u00a0The registration will begin on April 20.<\/strong><\/p>\n “Shashi Tharoor is a multi-faceted personality, globally acclaimed writer, an erudite speaker. Tharoor, as quiz master, will be an instant hit with the global audience” said Tourism Secretary Suman Billa.<\/p>\n This is the first time that a State tourism board is conducting an online video quiz show. \u201cKerala Tourism is a pioneer in using information technology for destination promotion. We assure participants worldwide an exciting quiz show for two months.\u201d said Rani George, director, Kerala Tourism.<\/p>\n Kerala Tourism has won many awards, including the National Tourism Award, for innovative use of Information Technology. The department\u2019s previous innovations include Virtual tour of destinations, Intelligent Itinerary Planner, online video gallery, online audio gallery, e-newsletters and GIS Map to help visitors to the state.
