The new Malayalam movie ‘100 Degree Celsius<\/strong>‘ directed by debutant director Rakesh Gopan will be split into two parts.. The women-centric film, which was previously titled \u2018Mirror\u2019, is now broken into two parts and will become Malayalam cinema’s first two-part film. Both these parts will be released separately.<\/p>\n

On splitting the previously planned single movie, its director Rakesh Gopan says, “We had initially agreed on an idea but after months of scripting, we found it was longer for a single movie. So we decided to split it into two parts because the story is engaging in both halves. We have now titled the films 100 Degrees Celsius: Part 1 and Part 2.”<\/p>\n

Malayalam film industry has seen many movie series such as Ramji Rao Speaking duology, Nadodikaattu trilogy, Oru CBI Diary Kurippu. But these films have different stories in each instalment. \u00a0Director Rakesh Gopan says that his film will have the same story continuing in the next film rather than two different stories for each film. “The first part will be complete in itself with a proper climax and can be viewed as a standalone feature. However, the story of the film carries over to the second part and you have to watch the first part to make the connection,” says Rakesh.<\/p>\n

Apart from splitting the movie into two, the director has also decided to make changes in the cast. Bollywood actress Radhika Apte, who had acted in Rakth Charithra and Tamil and Telugu actor Shaam, of Kick and Thillalangadi, will make their Mollywood debut.\u00a0 The main cast includes Shwetha Menon<\/a>, Lakshmi Rai, Bhamaa, Meghana Raj<\/a> and Gauthami Nair.<\/p>\n

The film tells the story of five women living a normal life in a city. They are from varied background and employed in different spheres like Homemaker, Banking, T. V. channel College student and I. T. The story moves forward when a man enters their life.<\/p>\n

The director also said that, a few scenes which are critical to the second movie will be shot this year and major portions will be filmed later. Shooting of the second part will start six months after the first part’s release.<\/p>\n

The story of \u2018100 Degrees Celsius<\/strong>\u2019 is by director Ragesh Gopan himself and Vinu Abraham pens the script. Gopi Sunder<\/a> will compose the music and Mahesh Mutthuswamy will handle the camera.
