With both petrol and diesel models,\u00a0 the Honda Amaze aims to be the first real challenge for Maruti Suzuki&#8217;s Swift DZire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9589\" title=\"Honda Amaze pictures\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-pictures-768x490.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"553\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-pictures-768x490.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-pictures.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Honda has increased the wheelbase to make the car more spacious while keeping the length under 4 meters. At 3990 mm, the Amaze is 5 mm shorter than the Swift Dzire. Its wheelbase is also shorter than the Swift DZire&#8217;s at 2405 mm. The exterior styling elements like body coloured ORVMs and front and rear bumpers add to the overall premium touch on the Amaze.<\/p>\n<p>The diesel variant features a 1.5 i-DTEC engine, developed specially for the Indian market. It is derived from the 1.6 i-DTEC engine which sells in Europe. The engine delivers 100PS@ 3,600 and 200Nm of torque @1,750 rpm. Honda Amaze would be India&#8217;s most fuel-efficient car with a mileage of 25.6 kilometres\/ litre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9588\" title=\"Honda Amaze images\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-images-765x513.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"369\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-images-765x513.jpg 765w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-images-222x148.jpg 222w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-images.jpg 950w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 551px) 100vw, 551px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The petrol variant has the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine as the Brio and the Jazz, and will deliver 88PS @ 6,000 rpm and 109Nm of torque @ 4,500 rpm. It will a have fuel economy of 18 km\/litre, while the automatic version of the petrol variant will have a mileage of 15.5 km per litre.<\/p>\n<p>Amaze will have all the features such as Electronic Power Steering, Front and Rear power windows, keyless entry, 2DIN Integrated Audio (AM\/FM,Mp3,USB,Aux-in), rear defogger, fuel consumption display, cup holders etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9590\" title=\"Honda-Amaze-brio\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-brio-768x488.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"553\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-brio-768x488.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2013\/04\/Honda-Amaze-brio.jpg 950w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The company has also given high priority to safety with driver seat belt reminders, WAVE key and a high mount stop lamp offered in all variants.
