Livares Technologies a Trivandrum based start up firm has launched an Android app for the KSEB’s Labha Prabha campaign – an SMS based electricity saving campaign organized by KSEB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The app will help the consumers to take part in the scheme without worrying about the SMS format. The Labha Prabha app uses SMS service to send registration details and meter readings to KSEB and does not use an internet connection.<\/p>\n

Labha Prabha is an energy conservation scheme launched by KSEB as part of promoting energy conservation practices among domestic consumers. The scheme will offer cash incentives and many prizes to the consumers. Labha Prabha helps to improve demand-side management through incentive schemes to ensure public participation.<\/p>\n

In Labha Prabha scheme, consumers interested in joining the campaign will have to register themselves by sending an SMS to 9287088808. The consumer will get a reply showing their average consumption. KSEB will also provide information and tips on how to reduce power consumption. If the consumer wins prizes, it will be informed via SMS. Prizes include 50,000 CFL\u2019s every week, 1000 solar lanterns every week, LED bulbs, T-5 tubes, solar table lamps and solar water heater. The bumper prize is a 1 Kilowatt solar power unit for 100 participants who save the most electricity.<\/p>\n

Using Labha Prabha App<\/strong>, consumers can now do the registration by providing their section code and consumer numbers, add and store their electricity reading, and can send the reading to KSEB. \u00a0Livares Technologies focuses on enterprise web and mobile solutions. The company is virtually incubated in Technopark, Trivandrum and Start-up Village Kochi.<\/p>\n
