This service is being introduced at four other airports in the country also including Kochi.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to introduce VoA was taken by the Inter-ministerial Committee on Tourism in their third meeting and is subject to approval by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Shri Mullappally Ramachandran, Minister of State for Home Affairs said that, the ministry has given the green signal to the proposal.<\/p>\n<p>A.P Anil Kumar, Kerala Tourism Minister says &#8220;K.C. Venugopal, minister of state for civil aviation, is leading efforts to put in place the facilities required to implement the visa-on-arrival scheme at the two airports. The groundwork is nearing completion and the service will soon be available for tourists,&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visa-on-arrival (VoA)<\/strong> will allow citizens of 11 countries to obtain tourist visas upon arrival in Kerala, he added. The 11 countries are Japan, Singapore, Finland, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia.
