With the opening of the new facility, Kerala became the biggest single location for Ernst &amp; Young Global Services (EYGS).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKerala is very important for EY, we like the place, the people and the availability of talent. The new centre will focus on new niche areas like virtual assistant services, content, design, knowledge management, etc. Another area which would see substantial growth in the coming years is \u2018Business and Creative services\u2019 which was started two years back serving Middle East only with some 25 resources but now about 2,000 are serving US and Europe\u201d said Tim Eddy, Global Vice Chair, EY Global Service.<\/p>\n<p>The new Global Shared Services (GSS) and Innovation Centre that spread over 72,000 square feet will accommodate over 1,000 employees. The new centre will strengthen the operations of Ernst &amp; Young in Kerala. Tim said that, the company is expanding their centre in Kochi also with additional space and plans to be 5,000 employees across all centres in India by 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a highly skilled talent pool of 1,800 people at our Kerala offices. This is three times the number of employees we had when the Kerala centre became part of our global organisation in 2010,\u201d Eddy said.<\/p>\n<p>Minister for Industries and IT P.K Kunhalikutty and Minister for Home and Vigilance Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan were also present during the inaugural function.<\/p>\n<p>Ernst &amp; Young has now facilities in all government owned IT parks in the state.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chief Minister Oommen Chandy inaugurated the third facility of Ernst &amp; Young Global Services (EYGS) in Kerala at the KINFRA Film and Video Park.
