Kawasaki Ninja H2R created a lot of buzz in the performance motorcycle segment when it was first unveiled at this year’s EICMA in Milan. It is reported that the road-legal version of H2R the Ninja H2 would be launched in India for a price of Rs 32.8 lakh.
Kawasaki India has already started taking 10 lakh as a booking deposit from interested buyers in the country. Only 5 bikes have been initially allocated and 4 have already been booked.
H2 is the road-legal version of the H2R, which is a strictly track-only motorcycle. The bike has 43mm inverted front fork which offers a three-way adjustment and 4.7 inches of travel. At the rear, the KYB gas-charged mono-shock offers a four-way adjustment and 5.3 inches of travel. The bike also comes with five-spoke cast aluminium wheels.
Powering the new Kawasaki Ninja H2 is a 998 cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 200 PS. It is essentially the same engine that is also present in the track-only 300 PS Ninja H2R, in a different state of tune.
The bike also comes with an array of safety features such as KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control), KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode), KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System) to name a few. Depending on rider preference, advanced electronics work behind the scenes to provide rider support.
Deliveries of the new Kawasaki Ninja H2 in India are likely to commence by March 2015.
