Our Trivandrum Sports Hub has won the award for the “New venue of the year” in the World Stadium Business Awards 2016.
Called as the ‘David Vickers Award’, the award is given to the best new stadium in the world and this year, Trivandrum Sports Hub bagged it.

Judging panel at the World Stadium Business Awards 2016 described Trivandrum Sports Hub as “A very strongly-contested category with international entries but this world-class sports facility is the first privately-funded stadium on the Indian subcontinent and a development model for more to come.”
It wasn’t an easy victory for The Sports Hub. Trivandrum Sport Hub had to compete against stadiums from USA, Japan and France. Shortlisted nominees include – Parc Olympique Lyonnais, France, Estadio BBVA Bancomer, Mexico, Kyle Field at Texas A&M University, USA, Matmut Atlantique, France, Suita City Football Stadium, Japan, Vodafone Arena, Turkey and T-Mobile Arena, USA.
