According to BMW the car can accelerate from 0-100 in just 4.3 seconds.
BMW India has launched the new M5 at a price of Rs 1.35 crore. The high-performance sedan comes in as a CBU and is available across all BMW showrooms in the country.
Changes to the new M5 include a M5 badge on the signature kidney grille, new adaptive LED headlights, a new set of 7 twin-spoke alloys, large air inlets and aerodynamically optimised M wing mirrors. The new LED rear light of the new BMW M5 is unmistakable, even from behind.
On the inside, the upholstery comes with Merino leather with extended contents in Black, Sakhir Orange and Silverstone colour combinations. Interior trims offered are Fine-wood Trim Ash Grain Brown and Fine-wood Trim Fineline Anthracite with highlight trim finishers Aluminium Trace. The steering wheel is also redesigned
Under the hood the new 2014 BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that can deliver 552bhp of power and 69.3kgm of torque. According to BMW the car can accelerate from 0-100 in just 4.3 seconds. The car has a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering.
Car’s technical features include BMW Connected Drive which features- BMW iDrive with touch controller, BMW Navigation Professional and Park Distance Control. On the safety front, the M5 comes equipped with air bags, Active M Differential, Dynamic Stability Control, ABS with Brake Assist, Active Protection with Attentiveness Assistant and Active headrests.
The 2014 BMW M5 is available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in 7 metallic paintworks- Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, Monte Carlo Blue, Silverstone, Black Sapphire, Sakhir Orange, Singapore Grey and Space Grey.
