Like the Yamaha Fz 2.0, Fazer FI also gets Yamaha's 'Blue Core' technology in its engine.
Japanese two wheeler maker Yamaha launched the updated Fazer FI version 2.0 in India at a starting price of Rs.83,850. It is essentially a half-faired version of the recently launched FZ-S V2.0.
Yamaha Fazer FI Version 2.0 gets a revised half-fairing with restyled twin headlamps, new body decals, fairing mounted rear view mirrors and digital instrumentation with an ECO indicator. The lower part of the fairing gets edgy air scoops which add to the motorcycle’s appeal. Other changes in the Fazer include a newly designed tandem seat and grab bar for good rider comfort, updated chassis with new front and rear suspension as well as new puncture resistant tyres.
Like the Yamaha Fz 2.0, Fazer FI also gets Yamaha’s ‘Blue Core‘ technology in its engine, which claims to enhance fuel efficiency of the motorcycle without compromising on power and the fun-to-ride factor. The latest version of the bike offers a class-leading acceleration with 14% improvement in fuel economy.
The Fazer V2.0 has the same engine specifications as the FZ-S V2.0 which is a 149 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, 4-stroke unit. It develops 12.9 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 12.8 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Breaking comes from a disc brake and drum brake at the front and rear respectively. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.
The Fazer FI v2.0 will be available in three colour schemes- red dawn, black hawk and white cloud.
