Meet the all-new Maruti Swift Dzire with 26.59kmpl mileage!

The engine remains the same. However they have been fine tuned to increase fuel efficiency.

The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has launched the refreshed version of the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. The 2015 Swift Dzire is priced aggressively between Rs 5.07 lakh and Rs 7.81 lakh.

Changes to the exterior include a thick chrome bar across the grille, new matte-finished fog lamp lined with chrome on the inside and new head-lamps with black inserts. Other changes include a bigger air-dam and new bumpers. Top end variants gets newly designed “Motion themed” alloy wheels too.

Inside the cabin, the changes from the new Swift are carried forward. The new Dezire comes with a many features including push button start, electrically retractable ORVMs, Bluetooth-enabled audio system and new upholstery. Reverse Parking Sensors are an added feature.

The new 2015 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is powered by the same old 1.3-liter diesel and 1.2-liter petrol units. However they have been fine tuned to increase fuel efficiency. The diesel DDiS engine produce 190Nm @ 2000 rpm torque and outputs a maximum power figure of 75PS @ 4000rpm. The petrol K series VVT engine develops a maximum power figure of 84.3PS @ 6000rpm and a max torque figure of 115Nm @ 4000rpm.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is pegged as the country’s most fuel-efficient car with a claimed mileage of 26.59kmpl on the diesel trim, a 13% increase from the previous model. While the petrol trim offers fuel-efficiency figures of 20.8kmpl, an improvement of over 9%. Maruti states that the new fuel-efficiency figures have been achieved as result of several innovations in the engine hardware which has ultimately lead to improved thermal efficiency, and reduced frictional losses.

The new Swift Dzire facelift is available with a choice of four different colours – Alp Blue, Cave Black, Magna Grey and Sangria Red.
