Swapp is the brainchild of Trivandrum city-bred Ashwin Panicker and his wife Bavani Srinu. This NRI couple took a call to return here with an “aim to truly help Trivandrum become a digital city.”
We live in a world where there is an app for literally everything. You can order food, call a cab, book a hotel room and the list goes on. So there is no end to the number of apps one needs to download. Or, is there? How about using just one app for using all the services you need in your daily life? That’s exactly what Swapp is all about.
You may remember Swapp as the premier food delivery app in Trivandrum city, but we got to know that it is but just one of the many roles it plays. Swapp, we learn, is a platform – a single app that you can download for free – from where you can then open multiple apps that are hosted on it. In simple terms, Swapp is a single app that functions like multiple apps.
It opens the app of businesses or organisations that are part of your day-to-day routine and you want to be connected with. This means you can order food from your favourite restaurants or book an appointment with your regular dentist or connect with your alumni group etc. They even have a Blood Bank App hosted on it.
So How does this work?
Just register on Swapp. Then in the Swapp Store inside, search for the app of the business or organisation you seek to connect with. With one click, your registration on to the new app is automatically completed and that app is added to your wallet. So the next time you want to open that app, go to your wallet on Swapp and click on that App’s icon. Connect with any number of apps on Swapp without the fear of memory shortage or slowing down your phone.
Unlike aggregator platform apps, Swapp is super friendly to small businesses and enterprises, because this platform allows them to connect directly with their own customers. So that their loyal customers will always remain loyal to them. These small businesses can create their own mobile app, very affordably, just by creating an account with Swapp and then choose one of the ready-to-use templates that are on offer and voila! Their app is ready for business. This doesn’t need technical knowledge and is really helpful to those who can’t afford the time or cost to develop a stand alone app.
Swapp is the brainchild of Trivandrum city-bred Ashwin Panicker and his wife Bavani Srinu. This NRI couple took a call to return here with an “aim to truly help Trivandrum become a digital city.” If Trivandrum can do it, 100 other similar cities can follow is what they claim.
Swapp is already known to Trivandrumites as a food app, because that vertical is where they started with. But that is changing soon. Swapp already has on board fish mongers, indoor courts, play schools etc. Trivandrumites can not only order food from the app of their favourite restaurant but also connect with different apps to go about their daily life. One App, Many Roles!
