Motorola Moto E will be available exclusively via online retailer Flipkart from Wednesday.
After weeks of speculations and rumours, Motorola has finally launched its low-cost android smartphone the Motorola Moto E in India at Rs 6,999. The Moto E, as with the Moto G and Moto X, will also be available exclusively via online retailer Flipkart in India.
Moto E features a 4.3-inch screen with qHD display with a resolution of 540×960 pixel and 256ppi pixel density. Motorola is also providing Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for the phone, along with its ‘water-nano coating’ which provides a measure of water resistance.
The device is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor along with Adreno 302 GPU alongside 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Motorola guaranteeing that it will be upgraded to the next version. Moto E is dual-SIM supporting Micro-SIM cards and an ‘intelligent calling’ feature. The internal storage is 4GB and is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The phone has a decent battery backup with 1,980mAh battery.
For imaging, Moto E has a 5-megapixel rear camera, but like the Lumia 630 it has no flash or front camera. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
Moto E comes in multiple colourful rear shell options including Black, Lemon, and Turquoise. The phone has pre-loaded software features such as Motorola Assist, Alert, and Migrate. Flipkart is offering a 50% off on 8GB Transcend memory card and free eBooks worth Rs 1,000 with the purchase of the Moto E.
