After the horror-thriller Geethanjali, veteran director Priyadarshan is back with another laugh riot titled ‘Aamayum Muyalum’ with Jayasurya. The director has made a shift from his normal casting by taking Jayasurya in the lead role.
Director Priyadarshan announced the details of his latest project through Facebook. “My upcoming Malayalam Movie is Titled “Aamayum Muyalum”. It’s a comedy thriller with Innocent, Nedumudi Venu & Jayasurya in lead roles” said the director.
Currently Jayasurya is busy with many projects such as Apothecary, directed by Madhav Ramadasan and Iyobinte Pusthakam directed by Amal Neerad. The heroine of “Aamayum Muyalum” is not yet announced. There are rumours that a Mumbai based model will play the lead in the film. Nothing much is revealed about the storyline. Harisree Ashokan, KPAC Lalitha and Maniyanpillai Raju would also be a part of the movie. M G Sreekumar would handle the music.
Aamayum Muyalum is scripted by Priyadarshan himself. The movie will be produced by Jaison Pullikkottil under the banner of Full house entertainment. As per reports, the shooting is expected to commence in two months at Karaikkudi. The movie is planned as a Christmas release.
Priyadarshan was reportedly planning a movie with Fahad Fazil and Keerthi Suresh. But the project got delayed due to Fahad’s tight schedule. Priyadarshan’s last Malayalam movie Geethanjali featuring Mohanlal, Nishan and Keerthy Suresh failed to make a mark in the box office.
