Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi movie review by Akhil

Natural dialogues, good scripting and stunning visuals are the main highlight of the movie.

Road movies are always a treat to watch irrespective of their language. Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (NPCB) is one such movie. Touted as the first road movie in Malayalam, NPCB is an above average flick.

Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi tells the story about two college students Kasi played by Dulquar Salman and Suni played by Sunny Wayne, who plans a road trip to Nagaland from Kerala, in search of love and life. NPCB is targeted at youth, who enjoys their life with bikes, road trips, girls and parties.

The movie impresses the audience on all aspects. Director Sameer Thahir has done a brilliant job. In NPCB, visuals tell the story more than dialogues.  The story has a good humour laced with it and never bores the audience. However, the second part may feel like its lagging. Dulquer Salman has one again delivered an amazing performance. Sunny Wayne gets an equally important role, reminiscent of ‘Kurudi’. All the other cast including the heroines Surja Bala and Enna Saha, who made their debut in the industry with NPCB, have done justice to their roles.

Natural dialogues and good scripting is a plus and the movie doesn’t have any clichés scenes. The visuals are stunning, with brilliant background score and crisp editing. Thanks to cinematographer Gireesh Ganghadharan who has done an outstanding job in capturing the visual splendour so beautifully.

Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi is a refreshingly beautiful film. Director Sameer Thahir has shown that even a simple story can be presented well. Go watch it and immerse yourself in Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi!
