Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol to reunite for DLLJ remake?
If the reports are true, Shahrukh Khan and Kajol are set to reunite on screen for a remake of the 1995 blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
Director Aditya Chopra is planning a contemporary remake of ever popular ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (‘DDLJ’) and the jodi could well be coming together for it. The title of the film is yet to be confirmed but Hindustan Times has reported that the film has the working title, ‘Dulhaniya Chali Diwale Ke Sath’.
The reports also say that, the story of the film will apparently be adapted to the present time and will have Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in cameo roles. The remake might see TV actor Farhan Khan (of Chhanchhan fame) may play the male lead, while newcomer Mahika Sharma is being considered for Kajol’s role. Reports further add that Boman Irani will be seen reprising Anupam Kher’s role and Paresh Rawal will be seen in the late actor Amrish Puri’s role. Sources told Hindustan Times that a song will be shot in the exotic locales of Malaysia.
Meanwhile Rafique Gangjee, the spokesperson of Chopra’s production house simply denied any such plans. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is considered as the best romantic movie that the Bollywood film industry has produced in over years. It seems like the audience will have to wait longer to watch Raj and Simran on screen once again.
