Up & Down – Mukalil Oralundu review by Ashok

Up & Down - Mukalil Oralundu
Two years after the release of Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty, director T.K Rajeev Kumar is back with another experimental movie – Up & Down – Mukalil Oralundu. The movie stars Indrajith, Prathap Pothen, Meghana Raj, Remya Nambeesan and Shruthy Menon in the leads.
Up & Down – Mukalil Oralundu falls in the thriller genre and tells the story of friendship and love. Thampuran played by Indrajith is a lift watchman who sees faces in and out, going up and down. The story of Up & Down – Mukalil Oralundu unfolds when nine people are stuck in a lift and a murder happens.
Indrajith has done a brilliant performance and Prathap Pothen has done justice to his role. Other actors Remya Nambeesan, Meghana Raj has also done a good job. Ganesh Kumar does a full length character in the movie and his son also plays a character in the film.
The film has a good pace and was able to build up suspense. Rajeev Kumar’s interesting story and gripping screenplay, M Jayachandran’s music, Jomon Thomas’ camerawork are the main highlights of the film. Sound effects and background score are also worth mentioning.
