According to the reports, Tamil super stars Ajith and Vijay are coming together onscreen in an action thriller directed by none other than Shankar.
Director Shankar himself revealed the news. He said that the project will likely start during Diwali. But the shooting will start after Pongal. “After completing Ai with Vikram, I will move on to a multi-starrer project. The two names that I have finalised are Illayathalapathy and Thala,” said Shankar.
Shankar is yet to finalize the script for his multi-starrer project. He feels, Vijay and Ajith, would be the perfect cast for the film and is quite optimistic that both actors will give nod to the project. “I have offered the film to them. The moment I told them that I wish to cast them, the actors welcomed the idea,” the director says.

The director refused to give out any details about the storyline, but said that both actors will be seen in entirely new avatars. Venu Ravichandran of Aascar Films who is also the producer of Shankar’s ‘Ai’ will produce this untitled movie.
Vijay and Ajith were last seen together onscreen in the 1995 film ‘Rajavin Parvaiyile’ directed by Janaki Soundar. Now after two decades, Shankar is looking forward to bring the actors together onscreen once again.
