Lack of professionalism and poor management at Redington Service center at Trivandrum. STAY AWAY
I went to Trivandrum service Center for 4 time today, yet I haven’t got my device. Of all the four visits, today (11/13/2013) was the worst day. This shouldn’t be a service center.
At the “Front Desk”: While discussing the issues with a front office assistant, a person named ‘Sharma’ (sounded like a technician) interrupted and started addressing the issues. Despite his arrogant tone and poor communication skills, he was immature in conveying the fact that I may not be able to collect the device without the Original service invoice. He was blabbering some sentences loudly, which made me feels that I am at some flee market.
Such a person with poor inter-personal skills/low esteem should never be presented in front of a customer and he/she can’t adhere to the values that your company claims.
Eventually I bypassed the “unsuitable” front desk person – Sharma) and happened to check with another person. He was nice and addressed my issue with some humanity. He checked and came back saying “the shipment delivered” message I got from HTC is wrong and the Product has not reached the service center. I left the office blaming the HTC support for sending a wrong message – at the cost of a ½ day leave (as the service center opens from 9:00 to 5:30) and 22 km of driving from Technopark.
After reaching office, I called HTC Customer care and got the FedEX tracking number. As per the FedEX information, the package was delivered on Saturday at 5:00 PM.
The “nice human” guy I met at Service center had simply lied to avoid me without any regret and send me back empty handed. Now I feel violated and neglected.. And you ‘Redington service’ should question this act of unethical practices.. Now I recollect few costumers yelling and shouting to find their miss placed packages. The documents/packages are poorly managed at this facility.
This place needs a better manager and some cultured people to run the show.
Now, when I open the web page – I am dumbstruck to see phrase “we, at Redington Service, are committed, to satisfy , the mutually agreed needs of our customers and principals in the areas of service delivery”..
Oh God..I feel pitty.. “Redington service” you should also feel the same!!

I clearly stated my complaint to the executives in the Service center on 2nd of July, they diagnosed the problem to be a software complaint. When I received the handset after 7 days of’service’ the problem still wasn’t rectified but still they charged me Rs 867.
And told me I just have to recharge the Handset’s battery to get get it working normally. But even after charging the problem was not solved.
When I contacted the Regional Head of Trivandrum REDINGTON(India) Limited – Riji R Chandrasenan he was of no help. He said the money charged was not for the’Service’ but for a ’Login to Blackberry’. He was disrespectful and not at all customer friendly.
So in short I approached a service center to Repair my Handset. But Handset was returned to me in the exact manner I gave, with a bill of Rs 867, and ill treatment of the staff.
